Fender Mustang I
Fender Mustang is a new amplifier from Fender and it can easily produce lots of sounds from clean to heavy distortion. It comes with 24 presets in 3 different banks. There is 5 different versions on the market and the cheapest is just $99. This is a perfect practise amplifier designed for any beginner as well as more seasoned guitar players.
All of the new Fender amplifiers comes with the popular Fender Fuse computer software which lets you change the settings of the amplifier through the computer. You have to link up the Fender Mustang to the pc through a usb cable who comes with the amplifier. As soon as you find a sound you like you can save it either on the laptop or computer as well as directly to one of the 24 presets on the guitar amp so you can easily use it without having to attach it to the laptop or computer.
You can easily shift all the effects either before as well as after the actual guitar amp to get totally different sounds in most cases if you use heavy distortion you need to putt the reverb and delays after the guitar amp in order to get a good sound. In order to change the level you have to hold down the exit button and then modify the corresponding knob to the level of your choice.
The usb connection provides you with a low latency output that you can use to record with straight from the guitar amp. The Fender Mustang also comes with Ableton live lite which is a multi track recording program. You also have an Aux input where you can play a song from your favorite mp3 player or computer and play along, this is a clean sound even if you have distortion effects.
