...are Back in Black! Go ahead, feel free to sing along with me as I shout out, and shout out badly, some AC/DC. The Kobe VI has just released in an all black colorway for the second year in a row. Last year's Kobe V "Black Out" release, this one features a silver Swoosh as well as silver accents on the midsole, tongue, and heel cup. I gotta say that snakeskin textured black colored upper on this shoe makes it look like an actual snake. Like a Black Mamba! Imagine that! The fact that a black mamba is actually green in color is irreleveant. The shoe looks like a snake and is freakin' cool! As cool as the other side of the pillow. Actually, cool enough for a member of the "Fab Five".
All black Nike shoes for basketball have been must haves for sneakerheads ever since the "Fab Five" days of the early 90's. You don't remember the Fab Five? Everyone remembers the Fab Five. Jalen Rose, Chris Webber, Juwan Howard, Jimmy King, and Ray Jackson. The best recruiting class of all time in college basketball. All five of these guys were blue chippers. These cats changed the look of basketball. They wore all black shoes and socks. They started the trend of long, baggy shorts. These guys changed the course of basketball history. For the last 20 years all black kicks have been a staple of the sneakerhead diet. This new all black edition of the Kobe VI will not dissapoint the those hungry, old school sneakerheads.
That's because getting your hands on a pair of the Kobe VI "Blackout" kicks is as easy as getting the a black pair of shorts and socks. This is not a limited release. Thank you Nike! Chances are you can bounce on down to your local mall a grab a pair of these all black Kobe Bryant shoes. If you can't, there are plenty of online retailers that have them. Jump on the internet and start surfing. But don't sleep on the "Blackout". The sooner you get them, the sooner can be singing "Back in Black". Wait, whoa, lost my train of thought. That song has been spinning through my head all day.
So if you are not a fan of the bright, themed colorways that Nike has dropped in the long line of Kobe VI's, these kicks are for you. Grab a pair, get some baggy shorts, and put on some black socks. You may not be one of the Fab Five, but you can look like one of them. Sorry though, doesn't mean you will play like them.
