Hydrogen gas cylinder/brass wrench?
I have heard that OSHA requires a lab containing cylinders of Hydrogen gas to equip themselves with a brass wrench for the non-sparking benefit. I am not finding any mention of this in the regs. help, please?
Answer:
If you look at the hydrogen section (referenced), there are several links to the ANSI 31 standards. I believe the requirements for nonsparking tools will be found there. There is not a requirement for brass, but that is the most common.
